...and eventually on the door of our own dojo storefront!
Well - for me the ideal logo would be the top of D and the bottom of C.

If we aren't making anymore adjustments my vote is C
I like the old school look of B. Feels like we've been around for ages... I vote for B.

ReplyDeleteYes, a combination of one top part with another bottom part is possible, and I agree that the top part of C is still not clear enough (needs to be appealing even in smaler scale, IMO).
Though I like C much better than A, I still see the following issues with it:
-Light shadow and gradient may not appear as vivid on a print such as T-shirts. It looks good only on web and on high-quality prints, I believe.
-Bottom Kanji writing is too big compare to the dojo name on top.
...and I prefer Kanji in D or E better. I vote for D or E, or a combination of those 2. B may still work. So my preference is: E > D > C = B > A.

You saw Heian-Nidan many times yesterday, so I expect you to know it well by now! ;-)
Yeah, my second choice would be top of D, bottom of E... if that's an option.
